Tell us about your company — what you do, who you serve, and what makes you unique in the industry.
OCULUS, Inc. is a global leader in ophthalmic diagnostic technology, providing advanced imaging and measurement solutions that support eye care professionals across optometry, ophthalmology, and specialty contact lens practices. Our portfolio – including the Pentacam®, Keratograph 5M®, and Myopia Master® – helps clinicians better understand the eye, make more confident clinical decisions, and deliver personalized patient care.
What makes OCULUS unique is our unwavering focus on precision, clinical relevance, and long-term partnerships. We don’t develop technology for technology’s sake – every innovation is designed to answer real clinical questions and integrate seamlessly into the workflows of modern practices, particularly those involved in specialty and medically necessary contact lens care.
What inspired the founding of your company, and how has that vision evolved?
OCULUS was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to improve eye care through better measurement and deeper understanding of the eye. From the beginning, the goal was to move beyond subjective assessment and give clinicians objective, repeatable data they could trust.
Over time, that vision has evolved alongside the profession. As contact lens fitting, corneal disease management, and myopia control have become more sophisticated, OCULUS has continued to innovate – expanding from diagnostic measurement into connected ecosystems that support long-term patient management, early detection, and collaboration between clinicians and industry partners.
What should our members know about your team and the talent that powers your work?
Our team brings together highly skilled engineers, clinical experts, and support professionals who are deeply committed to advancing ophthalmic diagnostics and supporting the evolving needs of eye care professionals.
We understand that our customers rely on their technology every day, which is why continuous operation and dependable service are core priorities. With U.S.-based service centers in Washington and Florida, our experienced support teams provide fast, reliable, and customer-focused service from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST – ensuring practices can operate with confidence.
Beyond technology, our team is dedicated to education and partnership. OCULUS offers ongoing training and clinical education through a robust 24/7 online resource library, as well as in-person training sessions throughout the year. This commitment reflects our belief that innovation is most impactful when paired with knowledge and support.
Tell us something that you wish more people in the industry knew about your company.
We wish more people knew how intentionally we design our technology to support specialty contact lens success – not just diagnosis, but the entire patient journey. From screening and early detection to lens design, fitting, and long-term monitoring, OCULUS devices are built to work together and alongside industry partners to elevate outcomes.
At our core, we’re not just a diagnostics company – we’re committed to helping clinicians see more, understand more, and ultimately care better.
Why did you join CLMA, and how has being a member impacted your business or outlook on the industry?
OCULUS joined the Contact Lens Manufacturers Association (CLMA) to strengthen our connection with the specialty contact lens community and to support continued innovation in this important segment of eye care. As a company focused on delivering precise diagnostic data, we recognize the critical role that laboratories and manufacturers play in transforming that data into life-changing visual outcomes for patients.
Being part of CLMA has provided valuable opportunities to collaborate, share knowledge, and stay closely aligned with the evolving needs of specialty lens providers. It has also reinforced our commitment to developing technologies that integrate seamlessly with lab workflows and support the clinicians and manufacturers who rely on accurate, actionable data every day.
